Harold Jerrell lives in Rose Hill with his wife Nancy. A native of Southwest Virginia, Harold began his career as a teacher and worked as a seasonal park ranger for Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. He is employed by Virginia Cooperative Extension and is the Agricultural Extension Agent for Lee County.
Photography is a way for Jerrell to relax and enjoy nature. Capturing scenes with fascinating lighting is the challenge, and he often works before sunrise or after sunset to capture a fleeting moment. His work has appeared in Blue Ridge Country, an award-winning magazine covering the Mountains of the South and the Blue Ridge Parkway. His photos include images of nature, wildlife, fishing scenes, and individuals.
