Gary Carroll, Basketmaker

White oak is the basis for all of Gary Carroll’s baskets. Like the early American pioneers, he goes to the woods and carefully selects a tree that is suitable for basket material. All material for his baskets is hand made the old fashion way by using hand tools such as axe, froe, drawknife and knife. His beautiful baskets are functional and/or decorative. With care they will last for generations.
